Do you believe in something most people don’t? What keeps you believing?
You can say I’m crazy. You can call me a loon. I know what I saw and I’m telling you, Clark Kent is Superman.
Hear me out! Even if you don’t believe me when I say I saw Clark duck into a phone booth five seconds before Superman came out of that same phone booth, the resemblance is uncanny! Have you ever seen Clark at a gym? And yet he clearly works out! The glasses don’t fool me! Here, look at these photos of Superman! I drew glasses on them! It’s Clark Kent!
Ok, ok, I get it. You’re not convinced. Well have you ever seen Superman and Clark Kent in the same room? And then there’s the matter of Lois Lane. She’s always there with the Superman scoop, and who’s at her side when the big man himself disappears? Clark. Kent.
Fine. One more thing. Remember when that Gotham journalist turned up dead in Metropolis and Clark was investigating it? Well the Joker showed up and tried to kill him! If the Joker wants somebody dead, he has no problem making them dead! But Clark! Didn’t! Die! I mean I know Batman showed up and stopped him, but Clark still faced the Joker and walked away unscathed! No ordinary man could do that!
You’ve gotta see it too, right?

“Sir, this is a Wendy’s.”
Notes: I couldn’t help myself. This idea popped into my head as I was driving in to work this morning and wouldn’t let me go. It was another long day of working straight through lunch (disclaimer: I ate while I worked, I prefer to work and eat so I can get out a bit earlier especially on a day when I’ve got so much work to finish) so a bit of mindless, silly writing is honestly a breath of fresh air. On the plus side, I hit 40 at noon tomorrow so with a bit of luck I’ll be able to get an early start on the long weekend.
Lotta people taking off or only working half day, including my boss, so it’s not like anyone will really be looking for me. My customer is pretty cool so as long as he doesn’t need anything after lunch, I should be good to go. If not, a little OT wouldn’t hurt. I did get a tax bill for my car this month that I wasn’t expecting. I always forget to plan for that every August. I’ve lived here 5 years; you’d think I’d have my act together. HAHAHA ok you’re right, I couldn’t say that with a straight face.
Alright well I’ve rambled on here long enough I think. Got my fantasy football draft tomorrow night but it shouldn’t interfere with my writing, especially if I get out of work as early as I hope to. Have a great Friday!
